About Coach Tony
Coach Tony has always had a passion to pass on knowledge and skills to others. If any opportunity comes his way, he is happy and grateful to take it on. His teaching and coaching journey spans many years, from 1997 to the present.
He is currently a contract instructor for the CoachArt Organization, a non-profit that teaches arts and athletics to children with chronic illness. Currently, he is the Head Coach for the CoachArt Ukulele and Tai Chi Workshops. His Tai Chi instructor certification is designated by the Functional Aging Institute through the “Open the Door to Tai Chi” program.
For 20 plus years Coach Tony was involved in coaching youth soccer and training newly recruited coaches. From 2009 to 2019, he served as the director and head coach of the Alhambra-Monterey Park Regional AYSO VIP soccer program for persons with special needs and/or disabilities .
Coach Tony is no stranger to teaching and training. In 2022, he retired from his 30 plus years of regular professional employment with L.A. County, where he spent time as a Staff Trainer in the County Assessor Training Division. Since retiring, he has continued to focus on opportunities to teach and coach, including the practice of Tai Chi.
