BIG Update

2020. A year that's definitely met each of us with challenges we've never seen before. We sincerely hope you and your family are healthy and safe. Covid-19 has changed our day to day lives and has put many CHD families at high risk. And while Covid-19 disrupted a lot, the Foundation has had a busy year and we want to get you up to date on your financial impact, the work to be done, and show you our 2020 Holiday Preview Guide.

YOUR FINANCIAL IMPACT

Your financial support throughout the pandemic has allowed Live Like Noah Foundation to continue helping CHD families and supporting UCLA’s Pediatric Lymphatic Intervention Program in such a critical time.

Earlier this year, we launched our Spartan Race fundraising campaign but, due to Covid-19, the event was postponed and eventually cancelled. We then put on our “Noah” hat and thought about what could we do to help the current environment and making cloth masks came to mind. Since April, we’ve sold 330 masks, with several dozen being sponsored masks for us to donate to families in need. With donations raised from the initial Spartan Race campaign start, mask sales, shop sales and donations, we were able to grant $6000 to UCLA’s Pediatric Lymphatic Intervention Program this past August. With this recent grant, the Foundation has now provided $26,000 to the UCLA Lymphatic Intervention Program to date.

TRAVEL FOR TRAINING

  • Your financial support has directly paid for UCLA's lymphatic team to travel to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for hands-on training with the the world's top lymphatic intervention team. Your support also funds travel for the CHOP team to fly to UCLA so they can provide assistance to patients too complex and fragile to be flown across the country.

FAMILY SUPPORT

  • Your donations helped us pay for a home generator for the Suarez Family, who were facing brown-outs in their area due to the brush fires. With their son, Liam, needing ventilator assistance at home, having this generator saved them trips to the hospital.

“I could never explain how much you have helped us, ever.” -Gloria Suarez, Heart Mom

  • The Hernandez Family faced 100+ degree weather after their wall AC broke upon coming home from the hospital with their newborn, Fernando, who was born with HLHS and sent home with a trach. We quickly purchased a wall AC unit to provide relief from the heat for their safety and comfort.
